General Drake Harper

A highly respected military politician tasked with commanding an engineering project of profound secrecy, is Rosemont's friend, mentor, and guardian.

Of course, the story ends leaving the reader wondering why Harper executed a subversive plot against his own project. Is he really a traitor, or was there some deeper motive? What did he plan to do with Flash Technology had his plan worked? And, what about the dark, villainous figure introduced in the Epilogue, a man who also has the ability to control the mighty Finch?

These questions are all addressed in the sequel, Beast of Burden.
